Find Great Solutions With Consumer Review Websites....
Monday, March 27, 2006 at 10:07AM Whew! What a CRAZY week last week. But Thank G-d, Aron is on the mend...and I'm back and ready to go...
You know, the whole reason why I started this website is because of simple phenomena I noticed when I was in college...
In college, I quickly learned that if you wanted to figure out who was the best professor, or what would be a great class to take - just ask another student who had taken the class! They would give you their honest "review" of the course & teacher -- and it was never wrong! (They had no reason to mislead you...so you got honest feedback) I had a blast in college, not just because it was fun to be away from my parents, but because I REALLY did enjoy the classes I took - thanks to the recommendations of other students.
As a mom, I find "peer reviews" to be just as useful as in my college days. Don't you just LOVE it when a girlfriend shares a tip, trick or product that WORKS?! Or that feeling when you introduce a friend to a great solution?
Well - here you are! My way of continuing those good vibes ;)
While focuses on reviewing great solutions for moms...it's not the only place to find great reviews on the web....I'm gonna share my favorite places to find peer/consumer reviews...
Okay...admit it Mom - YOU LOVE INFOMERICALS! Yes. You. You'd love to order LOTS of those products! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
But seriously, you'd have to be crazy to see some of those infomericals on TV and not a least consider some of the products as possible solutions for yourself and your family...but how do you know what REALLY works or is just junk?
Simple...let other people test it out first!
At http://www.fitnessinfomercialreview.com & http://www.infomercialratings.com you can find unsolicited consumer reviews of infomerical products. (Personally, I think Justin Leonard should get an award for this kind of Public Service!)
You can let THEM try BEFORE you buy!
Or, you can tell other people if that gizmo you bought at 2am in works or was a waste of money.
So...before you're tempted to make another impulse infomerical purchase - surf over to these websites to check out what other people think about the product first.
Another one of my favorite consumer review sites is Epinions.com. I tend to check out the reviews there for purchases of major appliances like dishwashers, vaccum cleaners etc...but they have TONS of reviews on a whole varitey kinds of things like Cars, cameras & Hotels and more. Again, people here don't get compensated for their positive or negative reviews (as far as I know) They are really just trying to share their experiences with other consumers. For major purchases I often check out ConsumerReports.org, and THEN surf over to Epinions before making a buying decision.
Finally, I recently found a new consumer review sites which looks quite promising. It's at ReviewPlace.com. They've got some pretty unusual categories of things reviewed like "Self Help, Mental Health and Addiction Reviews, People Search Service Reviews, and Pet supply reviews...and much much more...it's worth surfin' over there, checking out the categories and bookmarking it for later reference...
So...those are my favorite consumer review websites...anyone out there know of any others? Please share!
